TO SOLDIER ON-CAPTAIN AMERICA THEATER OF WAR ONE SHOT
TO SOLDIER ON-CAPTAIN AMERICA THEATER OF WAR ONE SHOT
I am an
avid comic book reader. Through my collection of a couple grand or so of comic
books I have more than a few comics that suck, some that are alright, and
others that are epic. Epic, such as “TO SOLDIER ON-CAPTAIN AMERICA THEATER OF
WAR ONE SHOT.” The story starts out being in the time of the Operation Iraqi
Freedom. It demonstrated the sentiment of the soldiers of this very short war.
Cap doesn’t become a part of the story till page 5. When he did I thought the
comic was going to involve Cap a great deal. Yet, I was pleasantly surprised
when the story stayed on the soldiers sentiments. Sentiments of low morale of
being in War.
The comic
reached its climax when Cap took on the role as a peace maker. A role that was
much to what soldiers thought was to their own endangerment. Their thoughts
were endorsed when their humvee ran over a land mine. Resulting in a soldier
losing his legs and right arm. Not only does the soldier have to adapt to a new
life. Captain America
was torn as well. Cap felt responsible. The bulk of the comic deals with the
soldier’s adapting to reality, and Cap resolving his conscious.
