And of course, I continue to address issues in the public educational system. This includes teachers getting so ambitious to climb up a career ladder that they forget about teaching/ influencing positive change.  The follow up story was inspired by my scare of having cancer, last year, from, probably, smoking cigarettes.  …knew that a hard rain was coming… Me and my friend Sable Sparks  she is a successful writer. Here is her book link  were at the Juleps Room open mic. Writ it in one day for the Wednesday open mic. When I am getting ready to perform I video record myself, even when I can’t remember the flow entirely, and I put myself in the mind state that I am performing. The lyrics become part of me. The strumming came with the annunciations of the lyrics. There was a wickedness to the wind. Heard that the water brings the spirits. Felt my dear friend Charles, died damn gonna be two years soon, was with me. Decided to use the Dubro I bought from link . “You’re next.” The host tells me. That means I have less than five minutes to set up. OH NO THE BATTERY FELL OUT MY CAMERA. “Sable can you record this one your phone?” “Yea.” Didn’t even have time to put on my sun glasses. Time to live up to it. Practiced this un’ for about 4 hours this week. It took me about a minute to set up my rig (portable Roland Cube amp and my Ibanez).
