Excerpt from "Going Educational" Do you make up your own reality? © 2013, 2014

For treatment at Ward 4C at Whitmore, Mississippi Insane Asylum, there is a chamber that has screens on the floor, walls, and ceiling. These screens replay memories of the patients and everything they say. The screens are activated by body heat, voice tone and seemingly supernatural forces.
Everything is recorded inside and outside the ward. The staff of the ward have entertainment nights in which they watch the footage from the ward's cameras and inside the chamber.
“Do you make up your own reality? A fantasy world as your shield because you are scared of the real world with its taxes, jobs, and I’m pretty sure you can fill in the blanks with what ever else scares you. Or are you so dissatisfied with that you create your own and make it real? Oh I’ve heard the hack clicheic excuses before that are universally accepted, ‘Normal is just a setting on a washing machine.’ ‘No one is normal.’ ‘The Illuminati controls reality.’ ‘What you think is real really isn’t real at all.’” The chamber replayed everything the person who was in it said and did when they were in previous counseling sessions. Everything in the asylum was recorded. No privacy, every activity monitored. For their entertainment this evening Anne Simpson was the host at this lavish home literally in the middle of no where. It has five roads leading to it. Five paths that are occultist conveniently shaped like a pentagram.

 “Dude, look at the way you live Like in a hovel,” his friend Carlton told him about a year ago. At that time, he was living in a two-bedroom apartment. “…that’s more like a compartment. You really think you gonna attract any kind of female?” “What about you, living in that tin can?” Tin can was what he called Carlton’s trailer home. Mid 2017: (c) 2017 I have subjected myself to needless misery. In the past I have taken everything as personal insult. Why? I think I did it to protect myself from being hurt. Not too long ago, I criticized online dating. Now that I am on an online dating site I think I have broken through lies I have told myself. I wonder if anyone else has told themselves these lies: There's no one out there for me. Why does this always happen to me? Girls won't like me once they know the real me. I am discovering that people need people. I am going out with several different women and realize it's not a personal jab if we don't meet again. All it means is we just don't mesh well. I must look at women like I would friends. Neediness, emotional blackmail and such isn't conducive to a happy productive life. When I told myself such lies I acted out on them.
