100 Love Letters I'll Never Send (Job is spelled the same way as Job) (c)2018

You might be going through something. Is God testing your faith?

 Prequel: How many people have lost their jobs because they were too focused on something happening in their personal life? 
How many of us have wasted good times...trying to manipulate instead of influencing good things, and or letting go. 
  He's gone from making $4,000 a week to $2,200 a month. He got lucky to get hired back at the same company he got fired from.-"They say God has a sense of humor." He is at the lowest position of the Morningside Investment company, the mail room.

"Irby, gonnah be your supervisor today," Mrs. Stephenson explained as I entered the building. She's trying to fire me again. Or it could be she's testing me. Either reason, I need this job. Job huh; spelled the same way as Job from the Bible (Holy Library). God allowed satan to tests job to find out how much Job was faithful to God.


Have I been so far away from God that God decided to punish me?


The kid has on earphones connected to his cellphone. He was bobbing his head up and down. He sings the lyrics. Every sentence had profanity, sex, drugs, and shooting some one. He was instructing me on what to do calling me 'Birdy.' When he first told me what to do I looked back at him and he said I reminded him of an angry bird. He told me he got kicked out of high school. All that money and all those years I spent in college and here I am.


Have I been so far away from believing in a power greater that I placed myself in this situation? 


"Birdy you putting the card in the wrong way," as he jerks the envelope out of my hand. I sigh agrrivated, he didn't even notice. Just kept listening to his music and shouting profanity, sex, drugs, and shooting some one. The man I met the other day has a grin and shakes his head.

I think of all those times where I put myself in situations to be hurt. Did I do all that to have a reason to believe?


"Hey man don't take him too seriously. He's just getting warmed up to you," I turned around to see where the voice came from. "My name is Roger," he extends a welcoming hand shake. "Come with me to the back," Roger says.

"You taking Birdy some where," Irby inquires aggressively. Roger replies by rolling his eyes.
"Okay."

We go to a back room where there's boxes and boxes of advertisements for clients. Roger opens the boxes. Pulls out an advertisements. He's explaining the different cards, "You see we use this advertisement for reaching new clients." It is a picture of a big house. "This one is for the ones who we work with that don't have much money." It is a picture of a beach. "And this is for our rich clients." It's got a picture of a family portrait.
"How do you know where to send these?"
Roger laughs, "Join us in this new age. We got computer programs that take care of all that."

All these are dreams I could have had. What is the point of taking a step backward? Is the LohRd testing me like Job? Why is a job spelled like "Job?"

Oh how quick people are to blame their faults on others and their gods. Giving them excuses for not being held accountable to themselves and others.

We are sure God wants us to be happy, joyous, and free. We cannot subscribe to the belief that this life is a vale of tears, though it once was just that for many of us. But it is clear that we made our own misery. God didn't do it. Avoid then, the deliberate manufacture of misery, but if trouble comes, cheerfully capitalize it as an opportunity to demonstrate His omnipotence.

 Then I met this gay dude outside of an NA meeting. Chose him as a sponsor. He let me know he was gay immediately. He was a pianist on contract with the department of defense. He was a government contracted pianist. Had seven years of ‘clean time.’ His rock bottom was getting shot seven times when he was dealing drugs. Called him, family members and friends (including David’s mother) every night. When I graduated from ARD I heard my peers were not spared from the counselors calling them out. I remember all the patients, who had commenced, giving their academy awards speech. Thanking everyone who helped them in rehab. The Army Ranger colorfully compared his recovery to ranger missions. I was angry that my platoon sergeant wasn't there to hear my academy award speech. Therefore, I didn't give an academy award speech. “Hey lover, are you naked?” is how the conversation started. Then came all the nasty things she was going to do to me. When she asked about my skin stick size, I told her there’s only one way to figure out, she hung up the phone. That’s a wake up call I’ll never forget.
