Thought Tiger would follow that last un’ “Do you dare to
step outside yourself…”
Naw, was too…too…too? Too much of something.
Gotta’ go back to the basics and play the Jimmy Reed riff
that Daddy Rich and Howling Mad Perry tried to show me at the Blues Museum. The one I still can’t
get right that I tried my best to do at Ground Zero Blues Open Mic while I “WellI ain’t no Elvis and I got no silver spoon and every time I try to rock it myguitar’s outta tune…” There’s a line I thought of long ago when I did my first
cover of Zeppline’s cover of When The
Levee Breaks. link
“If
my ship don’t come in you gonna hear my train coming.”-I’ll use it at the next #SynergyNights.
Tuesday I was sitting in the 24th Avenue (AA meeting) writing
lyrics to If My Ship Don’t Come In…in my notebook while listening to everyone.
But the rhyme went somewhere else when I
thought about my drunken days and my sick behaviors that I still engage in/
that we engage in, “Looking In The Wrong Places For All The Right Things.”
I performed “Looking In The Wrong Places For All The Right Things” at #SynergyNights.see it here Still Working on If my ship don't come in.

Thought about this the other day. It seems sometimes people with mental illness often becomes obsessed with supernatural realm: God talks to them or Satan is after them
