Momma set the rolls she cooked on the counter. "Oh thanks," Momma looked at me then looked at Carmelita; then back to me. She sensed something was wrong. Or was she just being protective?
She took the expensive necklace out of the box. Put it back in the box opened up a kitchen drawer and put the gift in the drawer. Carmelita looked shocked for a moment and then giggled. "Come on I have other cute pictures to show you," my sister says. Off they go again.
