Father's Day (a work in progress) (C) Father's day 2018 #Fathersday

They say my father was a bad man. Always on the take when ever you can Gave me a reason to cry Had me lost in riddles of why Time kept going till there was no time anymore You blamed me I blamed you Yea we've played this game before All this shame is so clicheic Don't know if there was any truth in your words behind all the rhetoric. The price of salvation is to find out who we really are. In a world of us against them, I never realize the kind of man my father was until I became him.

click  here to read Gadgets and Go In a big white and blue building filled with the things tech nerds dream about, as well as toys for the novice photo taker, and the family person, this story begins. They have computers, televisions, cameras, and anything else you could think of. They even got CD’s. It’s a busy day. There was a long line of people waiting when the doors opened. Within half an hour the store was packed with people, simply buzzing with activity. On a day like this one would expect the employees to be on their A game. That was not the case for Narcissus. He was being a very bad boy today, an example of the worst workplace behavior imaginable. He looks out at the customers that he’s supposed to be selling gadgets to and feels a mild disgust. He had only taken the job at Gadgets and Go to get his parents off his back. They were tired of bailing him out of scrapes. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a silver flask filled with Tanqueray gin. He puts it to h...

100 Love Letters I'll Never Send ( We all get better together) (C) 2018

He took me on a ride to all the places I had gone to while I was in this love thang with Carmelita: The restaurant we're we met, the place I got fired from, the temporary job agency, the trash heap I used to work at to teach me a lesson. It was like a renewal to our relationship. 2 weeks ago: Twenty of us sat around the long table. Serenity was at the head of the table. First they passed around the flyer We all get better together printed in the center top of page. The time, date, and the fee of ten dollars was printed below it. Also had catering by a local family owned restaurant CG's Southern cooking. Speakers, work shops on the history of Bill and Lois, history of famous couples in recovery, how to have healthy relationships. and more. Fun for the whole family was center, in the middle. that promoted the event. All of them were discussing they're different parts to play. I didn't feel right about that. Something about this whole thing made me very uncomfortabl...

100 Love Letters I'll Never Send (...away from me.) (c) 2018

In AA (Alcoholics Anonymous ) meetings you can find what ever you want and need. The only meeting we needed was Couples In Recovery. Afterwork, for about two weeks, it became part of Carmelita and my routine to go over for dinner at Serene and her man's house. There would be other couples their too. We'd play cards, have our own meetings on their back porch. The back porch  overlooked a great big pond, We'd watch the sunsets.  Their house was huge.  Afterwards, we'd get back home. Carmelita was happier than I had seen her for a while. My work was going well. One day my old boss,  Mrs .  Sanderson, did a suprise review. She came at the perfect time. I was entering into the building, after my lunch break. When one of our clients was leaving very angered. "I been with this company for over a decade! I can't believe how they treated me!" I over heard him on his cell phone.  "Mr. Smith, good to see you." He mumbled some obscenities, "Ye...

100 Love Letter's I'll Never Send, "It'll be good training for me," (C) 2018

“First it’s going to be great. You are going to go on dates. She’ll say anything you want to hear. Bate you in. She’ll tell you that no man has ever made her feel this way. There’s that uncertainty involved. You don’t know whether the other one wants you or not. You’ll treat her too good, because in your mind, you’re making up for how bad you treated the last one. You’ll have good meetings with her family. Why? Because they’ll be relieved for someone else to take care of her. They’ll be happy to get her out of their house. She’ll be the perfect girlfriend to your friends and family. Then she’ll slowly start doing things to get rid of you because she knows she has you. You’ll find yourself doing things you told yourself you’d never do just to hold onto something that is gone.”-AA Sponsor's warning "Serene, serene, serenity," she kept singing over and over again. She put five pancakes on my plate. Poured the syrup. Handed me a glass of orange juice.  "She seem...

100 Love Letters I'll Never Send (Scene Maker) (C) 2018

DAMN I HATE THIS FEELING. I TRY TO GET CLOSE AND SHE TURNS AWAY. SHE EVEN GOT UP AND WENT IN OUR DEN TO SLEEP ON THE COUCH. Monday was ruff. Spent hours stuffing envelopes with flyers. Flyers that had better life pictures on them. A life I know I'll never have. Life pictures of couples on big yaughts, parties on mansion patios, beutiful sunsets on remote islands. Hours later we're at The couples in Recovery meeting. Her words are scathing. She's become the big scene maker, "I can't believe you brought alcohol and drugs into our home! I LEFT EVERYTHING FOR YOU!" "Sounds like ya'll need recovery friends," one of the Founders of Couples in Recovery founders, Stan interrupts her. "DON'T INTERRUPT ME!" Carmelita went on and on for minutes that felt like hours. After the meeting. She leaves with them Stan and Serene. They're the ones who met us when we first got in town. I feel so betrayed. I try to follow and make some s...
