"We all inherit The Darkness." Excerpt From Going Educational part II" (C) 2016

Some things came out of the graveyard once the darkness blanketed us all. All of the crime, all of the drug use, and other destructive things gave the dead reasons to make what was wrong right again. What is happening: Carlton's infected computer  becomes his guide through a city that has had a black out. While he is visiting the grave of his friend the town goes into a black out. The spirits from the graveyards roam the streets seeking to take their town back through their own sort of justice. "Didn't know where to live after I was finally released from Whitmore. Chose to live by the hugest graveyard I could find in Jackson Mississippi. Felt I'd be safe. Maybe it's being safe from things that I couldn't let go of that came out during therapy." "My sweet satan." I wake up to my laptop speakers. I look at the screen. There's a diagram of a creature. The phrase "You Are Here." flashes across the screen. Then I realize...

100 Love Letters I'll Never Send (A New Hope) (c) 2017

"I love you too baby. I can't live my life without you. I try to carry on. Get me a job here in Virginia; but my hearts not in it. I keep on thinking of you. This is my new number. My mother finally felt sympathy for me and got me this phone. So now I'll be able to talk to you more. I couldn't call you as much before. Because my mom would give me hell. Now that she's how I am now she's even talking to me about you coming up here for a visit. You were down but you put yourself back together. I don't know how you did it. But it is inspirational to me. You're the only one for me _______. When you're having bad days remember that I love you. I have to go now my mother's calling me for supper. I LOVE YOU." "I love you," I tell her. She is what I need in my life. I can love someone the right way for once. I am still in my car in the parking lot of the AA clubhouse. Didn't want anything to distract me. "Kid why didn't y...

100 Love Letters I'll Never Send (......and I forgot about what gave me a good life; therefor, I lost the good life.) (C)

He goes back to work as a garbage man through the temporary job agency. He is happy because he heard from his girl friend.  “...and I forgot about what gave me a good life; therefor, I lost the good life. The thing that brought me a good job, women, houses, money. That thing was my God, and AA. I stopped nourishing my relationship with God and AA. Instead I spent more time seeking and doing the gifts I was given. I'd say I'm too busy working... and before I knew it I lost the gifts..." He goes back to work as a garbage man through the temporary job agency. He is happy because he heard from his girl friend. “Glad you’re feeling better,” Dean says as we walk in Waste World. “Yea man. I got a new outlook entirely.” I am loved again. All is right. “Back again uh.” The operations manager says so cheerfully. “Yep.” He’s in his early twenties. His father probably helped him get this job. To boss people around and to be so young has to boost his ego. I quickly ...

100 Love Letters I'll Never Send (...wanted to see if I'd miss you) (C) 2017

...and so he worked as a garbage man through a temporary job agency. He misses his ex.  He has been thinking about negative things and worked so hard that he's tired. He's trying to sleep. He's restless after the phone call. "Haven’t heard from you in a while…” I answered the phone hoping to hear her voice and for a second, “Carm…” it was him, my sponsor, interrupting me, “Haven’t seen you in a meeting.” Accused tone. How long has it been? Feels like days. “It was only yesterday,” I defend myself. I’m so damn tired. “You in bed uh. It’s six in the evening! You been thinking uh? ” I don’t want to go to those meetings. All it does is remind me of what a failure I am. “I’M ONLY DOING WHAT YOU TOLD ME TO DO!” “Who are you yelling at? Congradulations you’ve passed.” “What?” “That dash to the second part of step one states that your life is unmanigable. I’ll see you at the five fifteen meeting.” He hangs up. Couldn’t sleep after that all that cam...

100 Love Letter's I'll Never Send ("Love Ain't Enough") (c) 2017

...and I thought of you, "My mother told me 'Love ain't enough. Love won't pay the bills.' But she don't know the Love we have for each other. She doesn't know the Power of Our Love." listen to this song while reading this  click here to build the mood You were just turning 18 years old. I was 20 years old. We were still in that madly in love phase. We were living off of your mother's guilt she had for not doing you right as a child. Maybe your mom felt guilty that I was the best you could find. We were living in that $200 dollar a month apartment that at one time was a hotel. We only had two rooms. Stayed high a great amount of the time. I think about it now as the cold breeze gets my lips while I'm on the back one of Waste World's garbage trucks in a neighborhood that the smallest house is two stories and the cheapest car I see is a Cadillac. Damn, I wish I had the sense in me now back then. I'm passing by what should have been ...

100 Love Letters I'll Never Send (humility comes from the root word humus is defined as dirt. First day on the job as a garbage man) (c) 2017

"...humility comes from the Latin word humus which means dirt. 'So you're in the right place to find out who you really are. As well as learn more about the Loh'Rd.'"   PREVIOUSLY: The love of his life moved away and he got fired. After losing his job, he goes to a temporary labor job agency (Labor Needs). He thinks he's hit an all time low. Merely days ago he had a job that paid him over $50,000 a year. Labor Needs pays $60.00 a day after taxes. ____________________________________________________________________ My life is over I need to get used to this fact. All those good days are gone. I am one of the dregs of society now. I need to accept this. Like the big book of AA says, Acceptance is the Answer to all my problems… “Workers.” The loud speaker. The room full of about fifty of us gets silent. “Waste World.” A lot of us get disgruntled. Their sentiments are, “I ain’t taking that.”  “I woke up for this bull shit.”  “Th...
